A news site that reports on research about adverse childhood experiences as well as trauma-informed advances made in the areas of education, juvenile justice, criminal justice, public health, medicine, mental health, social services, and cities, counties and states.
Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services
Includes more information on Ohio’s trauma-informed care initiative, resources and PowerPoints from the yearly summit, sections for adults and kids, and other information from coalitions and collaborations throughout the state.
Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)
One of the best resources on the web, SAMHSA’s site includes training and technical assistance, statistics, types of trauma and violence, an explanation of the trauma-informed approach, grants, and an abundant list of publications and resources to be in the know.
