The Lucas County Trauma Informed Care Coalition is continuing to hold meetings each month. Virtual meetings began in April and have been well-attended. Members have enjoyed the opportunity to network, interact, and discuss current events which relate to the topic of trauma-informed care.

Robust conversation has been had regarding taking care of ourselves personally and professionally during the heightened stress of the COVID-19 pandemic. The events around the death of George Floyd and the protests across the nation led to meaningful discussions of racial equality and the importance of creating “Brave Spaces” where people can dialogue with respect and acceptance of the fact that these topics can be uncomfortable.
